Car buying websites - advice please!

I have a Land Rover that is coming to end of PCP agreement and going to sell it to settle the finance as initial valuations seem much better than the guaranteed price given by Land Rover. We buy any car seems to be the “standard” but have heard of over keen valuation reductions due to lots minor of issues. There’s a few out there so have you got any recommendations/experiences? Motorway? Anything else?

WBAC are shysters, only take it there if a pig, my car was old, not a mark on it always garaged and only 20k, but they picked up on some minor scratches and dropped the price quoted online by approx 50%, I took it.
I forgot to mention that I had to start parking it on the street and had a problem with water ingress from under bonnet and sunroof drainage, every time it rained ending up under the carpet oxidizing the wiring loom affecting all things electrical including the central locking which locked me out of the car on several occasions and would need a few dry days before starting.
I've never had a fairweather car that you have to check the weather before venturing out. Needless to say I took it down there on a dry day.

Sold my X5 through WBAC tonight.
The thing was a CUNT in terms or brakes, suspension, handbrake and other random expansive shit breaking but a good runner.
The girl I dealt actually tried to do her best to get me the offer price but I didn’t help myself as the number plate literally fell off in the 24 hours before dropping it off and only having one key (£250 drop).
She said they are offering more a lot as people under estimate the condition and the market helps them out.
What I would say is the cunts don’t start the thing, well my ones never which meant they missed a few shitty computer warnings so if you work out your local is just as lacking and your head gasket is gone, limp it down and you might get lucky.
It’s literally a visual sold as seen on the shell. They still knocked me £750 with £250 on the one key.
But you can dump shitters on them easy.

Cazoo are very, very good.As mentioned below, the pay good prices and the money was in the bank before the bloke had loaded the car onto his low loader.

You could just stick it into an auction yourself, ring up one of the big boys to get a reasonable valuation and what day to put it in. Might get a couple of private buyers bidding on it and pushing the price up.

I'd avoid the WBAC types as their model is to get you to the very brink of selling your car and then lowballing you, knowing that your plans will be fucked up if you have to take the car back home that day.
I found Motorway's offers quite low when selling my Kia Sportage in 2020.
As much as it has the potential to be a lot of ag, I sold both that car and my Bay Window campervan in consecutive weeks via Facebook Marketplace. Both vehicles sold on the day that I listed them at the prices I wanted.

I used Motorway, you take pictures (can’t use old ones) have to be taken the week they put it to auction.
You describe it and they set a minimum valuation, the car gets auctioned to car traders. My Touareg sold for over £500 more than I thought was top end and £1500 more than Wbac - had it two years and sold for £3k more than I paid.
2 fellas from the dealership turned up, checked it over, transferred me the agreed amount abs drove it away.
Whole experience was easy simple and not time consuming and got a great price without the tyre kickers and stupid offers.

My colleague just said use Cazoo, they turn up and if the car is how you describe it they pay there and then. He got £2000 more than wbac for his GLA, they prepped it and put it up for £1700 more than they paid him.
He had to pay £75 collection fee though.

I’ve used wbac at Basildon and they went round it with a fine tooth comb and wanted to knock 700 off for a fewer minor scuffs and chipping on alloys. The car was 10 years old. My friend used the lakeside one and they were ok. I sold mine privately for 900 more than the wbac valuation, £1600 more than what they actually wanted to pay. It’s there business model and that’s how they make money. As your car is newer and a more desirable make try Cazoo as they will probably sell it on so you will more than likely get auction hammer price which is better than anything wbac will offer. Also, list it on auto trader if you can wait for a while, you will get more.
Never used Motorway or the car buying group who are owned by Aston Barclay car auctions. See if you can sell it there at Chelmsford.

Used them to sell my late Father in Law's car and was pleasantly surprised by both the price and lack of haggling at the final stage. Knocked a bit of for some minor bumps and scratches but not much and seemingly justified. Be honest with the condition.
